Just a quick one for some of you may feel sceptical towards the Invisible Children and their project KONY 2012. If you do not know KONY 2012, please take your time and watch this: http://www.youtube.com/user/invisiblechildreninc
Yes of course people have the right to be sceptical and to voice out their opinions but fact of the matter is, Invisible Children is a huge charity organisation and they are dealing with a major project, of course they need people to run different departments, they need PROFESSIONALS whom they obviously need to pay. Whereas most charitable organisations would target other things, project KONY targets the main source of the problem, the criminal behind it - Joseph Kony. Yes it has been running for over 5 years, and it is taking too long etc. as all else would take time. So many other charitable organisations are trying to combat other things such as hunger in Africa, something that is really big, and would take a very long time. It may seem impossible but only because some of us refuse to try.
Having been to Africa myself, I have seen the situation that the people are in. It is all different to what you see in televisions and I am about to say the next sentence very bluntly, It honestly upsets me to see how ignorant some people can be. I can understand why some people may be worried about their money. It’s money! They are very scarce these days! But, it’s only money. Of course we have to be careful with who we give our money to, but at the end of the day even if only 20% of my money goes to the actual charity at least I’ve done my bit. I’ve tried. Have you?
A bit of a late post but, hey! Nevermind.
Paperchase is love <3 A tenner well spent!
I am praying for those who have suffered and are still suffering from the aftermath of the ‘Sendong’ storm in the Philippines. May you never loose hope and may you find strength in God and in each other.
